Director Enterprise Business Architect, HR

Job Description

The Director Enterprise Business Architect, HR will be accountable for the creation, maintenance and management of Business architecture models for the Company. They will engage, lead, and partner with various functional leaders, technical leaders, and executive partners within UMG's HR Function to understand long and short-term business and technology strategies, provide thought leadership and engage in proactive planning of an executable technology roadmap. The role of the Director Business Architect is to ensure that the respective business, application, data, and technology perspectives are in line with the organization's technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards across the enterprise.

How you'll CREATE:
• Develops solution options, recommendations, designs based on HR Platform roadmaps/requirements, enterprise security standards and reference architectures
• Defines and implements the strategy for the development of business architecture work, including business capabilities mapping, capability maturity assessments, interaction, and business functional alignment to underlying applications, data, and technology/infrastructure architectures
• Drives and facilitates discussions that identify business solutions related to current and future technology landscape, both locally and internationally
• Applies hands-on subject matter expertise in architecture best practices and partner with IT and business partners to comprehend pain points, prioritize requirements, and identify opportunities to improve capabilities and processes as well as gain efficiency by leveraging HCM (i.e. Workday and service layer; i.e. Service Now functionality)
• Assist in the creation of architectural artifacts for key technology initiatives across the HR domain
• Assist with the design of data solutions in accordance with Data Management policies and Enterprise Data Blueprints. Influence the application owners to ensure alignment with the data architecture
• Identifies implementation risks and analyses potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives

Bring your VIBE:
• 12-15+ years in an architect role in a Corporate environment of a similar size/complexity
• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect for Human Capital Management (HCM)(Workday / Oracle / SAP).
• Significant experience performing the responsibilities of solution architecture and technology roadmap creation
• Significant experience developing Human Capital Management (HCM)(Workday / Oracle / SAP) integrations with internal and external consumers.
• Experience with advanced Human Capital Management (HCM)(Workday / Oracle / SAP) systems configuration
• Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of best-practice business process and technologies for HR functions, focusing on Architecture and Integration to legacy-based systems
• Solid understanding of Scrum and Agile principles
• Track record of innovation and problem solving
• Knowledge and understanding of Big Data
• Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship
• Knowledge and understanding of relational databases
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business or information technology field
