As a core member of the Business Development team, you'll be responsible for managing all digital partnerships for the UMC team. You will work with existing audio DSP partners (Spotify/Apple Music, Amazon, Youtube Music etc) to ensure UMC marketing campaigns are delivered across the platforms effectively and appropriately, securing the best possible support from our partners. You will also build and maintain new partnerships across non-traditional digital partnerships (eg. Fitness partners, wellness platforms, audiobooks etc), driving catalogue optimisation as part of the wide new business growth strategy.

You'll work closely with UMC's Business Development Director, Marketing, Label Operations, Data Insights and UMG's Central Digital and Commercial teams.

You will be seen as the arbiter of digital/DSP best practice within the UMC team, to inform product development and marketing planning across all catalogue releases.

The key responsibilities for the role include:
• To be the point of direct engagement between label, streaming partners and central commercial team
• Managing DSP partner relationships – pitching to, and chairing meetings with, partners. Presenting effectively UMC artist and campaign plans to achieve maximum partner support and managing the flow of assets
• Project development - outlining opportunities and new features with our partners, presenting these to the wider UMC team and ensuring that they are incorporated into project planning (Spotify deluxe, Spotify Catalogue Programme, Apple Atmos etc) and secure maximum partner support
• Manage flow of key project information – Promo updates/marketing plans/release schedules - to central UK commercial team, UK streaming partners, and counterpart US label team
• Assess the success and efficiency of streaming marketing/promotions (with the assistance of UMC/central Insights teams and at Partners)
• Lead on all Non-Traditional digital partnerships
• Project development
• Provide Sales support
• Account management & co-ordination

Skills & Experience

• External Stakeholders – The ability to manage external partners effectively. Ensuring all aspects of the partnership are operating effectively and efficiently at all times
• Internal stakeholders – The ability to maintain strong relationships across a variety of internal departments and cross-functional teams within a major corporation
• The ability to foster collaboration, openness & creativity at a variety of levels, and can demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and enthusiasm in their day-to-day workings
• Strong negotiation skills

Digital Audio/DSP Experience
• Strong existing relationships with key DSP's – Spotify/Apple Music/Amazon Music/Youtube Music
• Master expertise of current best practice in the audio/DSP market
• A forward-looking mindset and understanding of future direction of record-label/DSP dynamics

A New Business Mindset
• As Interest in, and the application of, Market analysis to inform business practice and decisions in digital audio
• An understanding of future opportunities within the non-traditional digital music market
• Trend & opportunity identification - The ability to Identify potential opportunities for UMC campaigns, and platform initiatives/trends that represent opportunities for active support of catalogue

Person Specification/Competencies
• A passion for & broad knowledge of multiple musical genres and audiences; a love of music across the decades is a bonus
• Comprehensive experience working with DSP's
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Exceptional relationship building skills
• Good Communicator – Able to get their message understood clearly as appropriate to the audience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong Influencing skills – able to present sound and well-reasoned arguments
• Displays initiative, demonstrates commitment & motivation with a pro-active, energetic approach in their work.
• Displays Resilience in the face of pressure, setbacks or when dealing with provocative situations.
