Supporting the Senior Financial Controller, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to have ownership of the P&L and exposure to strategic aspects such as forecasting and budgeting. Being across all aspects of Virgin Music's finance, the ideal candidate will have exceptional organisational skills and strong controls to cover core tasks from payments and approving invoices to month end processes and partnering with the business in delivering accurate monthly results and quarterly forecasts.

Skills & Experience

Be Administrative
• Preparation of the monthly Forecast
• Cost control within all departments
• Prepare and report the monthly management accounts to Head Office in accordance with group policies and within the set deadlines
• Upkeep and maintain the general ledger
• Prepare the monthly internal booklet and Head Office reporting
• Produce the monthly/bi-monthly internal forecasts, quarterly corporate forecasts, and the annual budget
• Carry out ad hoc analysis and reports for Marketing and Finance functions
• Authorise invoices and sundries requisitions
• Monitor costs in relation to agreed budgets, and communicate any variances

Be Collaborative
• Prepare artist deal appraisals for new and existing artists
• Participate in projects across the business, including business processes, policies and procedures, financial analysis and reports

Person Specification

Necessary
• CIMA Part Qualified
• Ideally have previous experience within a media organization
• Previous experience working within a finance function
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong IT skills – advanced Excel essential
• Experience of managing month end
• Ability to implement business and operational systems
• Ability to work under pressure and experience working in a fast-moving environment
• Enthusiastic, driven, with an interest in working in music industry
• Team player, good at building professional relationships and adapting a personal approach to deal with different personalities and varying levels of knowledge and skills across the organisation. Able to act as the face of the finance team
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal, across all levels of the business
