The Temporary TikTok Strategist will work ~30 hours per week assisting with social publishing, strategy, and growth for CNN Underscored's TikTok account. The TikTok Strategist will be tasked with testing various growth strategies (including, but not limited to: giveaways, influencer campaigns, social partnerships, and capitalizing on trending hashtags). Where needed, the TikTok Strategist will train the editorial team on TikTok best practices, and work with our TikTok publisher contact to stay updated on best practices.
• The TikTok Strategist will program articles/content on TikTok.
• Assist with maintaining the TikTok calendar.
• Create original content for the platform.
• Work with editors/influencers/creators to develop additional content for the channel.
• Deep knowledge of the TikTok platform and its trends and first-hand experience creating successful content for TikTok.
• Strong writing, editing and content production skills
• Experience creating video and/or programming a social media platform a plus.
• Must be detail-oriented, data-driven, and able to execute a high volume of original content.
