Sr QA Engineer (CNN+)

The Job

WarnerMedia is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to develop, maintain and support the large set of Functional Verification Tests, Service Validation Tests, and other levels of the testing pyramid for the consumer digital products across WarnerMedia. Working with numerous disciplines throughout the Testing Center of Excellence organization, the Senior QA Engineer will assist and support the development lifecycles for our platforms.

The Daily
• Writing and executing manual tests based on product specifications
• Providing guidance and delegation to junior team members
• Communicating QA status and representing QA in meetings
• Testing releases on web, mobile, and/or backend platforms
• Writing and maintaining automated tests to detect software regressions

The Essentials
• Bachelor's Degree or comparable education required
• 3-5 years related experience required
• Familiarity with software delivery processes
• General computing and command-line knowledge
• Familiarity with HTTP network traffic and proxy tools (e.g., Charles, Wireshark)
• Experience with using programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or another major language)
• Experience with using UI automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium)
• Experience with using API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
• Experience with building or contributing to automated testing frameworks
• Ability to perform peer code reviews and provide indirect mentorship to junior team members
• Knowledge of databases and ability to store and retrieve information via written queries
• Experience with developing technical documentation
