Studio Director, Live Productions

THE JOB

Turner Sports is the team that delivers sports broadcasts to the WarnerMedia networks with Emmy Award winning productions across all our sports properties.
The Studio Director for our live studio productions will lead a team of passionate, energetic, and committed production people to create compelling storytelling in a studio environment.

THE DAILY
• Direct multi-camera shoots with live remote integration for each show.
• Work with graphics team and technical to integrate graphic play back within each studio show.
• Use innovative technology to enhance storytelling (versed in live Studio Directing at a high level)
• Maintain daily communication with production members.
• Work with teams' media relations as well as individual leagues.
• Contribute to all shows (Content, Music, Graphics, Elements, etc.)
• Look ahead to upcoming games, shows and events and provide direction in the production planning of these events.

THE ESSENTIALS
• Love of Sports, in particular, the NBA, MLB, NHL, College basketball.
• 2 years minimum experience as a Studio Director.
• Understand the need to bring in new technology and push the bounders to enhance storytelling.
• Experience using EVS playback and server content playback
• Must be versed in talent communication using various intercom systems.
• Must have the availability to work weekends and some evenings as needed.
• Must have a sound understanding of the technical inner workings in a studio setting.
• Must be able to handle live productions in a studio environment at a high level and work well under pressure.
