The Job

The Analyst Networks Programming supports the HoF Networks Programming in managing and coordinating the GE Networks Programming and Marketing & Promotion, Research and Creative Agency budgets from a finance perspective.

The Analyst Network Programming is part of the Networks Programming team, reporting to the HoF Networks Programming, based in Munich. This position will provide financial support to the local business and prepare/maintain forecast models for different parts of the business (GE Programming model, GE M&P models etc.)

Working closely with multiple teams, the Analyst is a key support in the budgeting, forecasting and month end process of the GE Networks programming and Marketing & PR, research and creative budgets:
• Responsible for preparing, updating and maintaining the Budget & LRP models.
• In charge of the monthly & quarterly finance close process, providing critical support in regards of variance analysis and detailed explanations.
• Support the monthly Forecast process (preparing, updating and maintaining multiple forecast models)

The Daily – Warner Media Productions
• Business Partnering, liaising with the regional Finance and Entertainment Programming and M&P teams, the Research teams and the Creative Agency within EMEA; prepare monthly reports, including robust analysis of actual results versus various benchmarks at various currency exchange rates.
• Close collaboration with the GBS and DSR teams.
• Preparation of monthly cash forecasts across the Network GE Programming budget; build complex yet intuitive financial models and identify risks & opportunities.
• Support of multiple Finance/FP&A processes, including month end closing, budgeting and forecasting.
• Extract and analyse data; run ad hoc analysis; prepare and review business cases; analyse performance versus goals etc.
• Constantly improve the financial tools and processes to further improve decision making.

The Essentials
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Entrepreneurial, pro-active can-do attitude and ability to think outside the box.
• Convincing personality and ability to work both independently and as a team-player.
• Great attention to detail.
• IT-literate with excellent MS Office skills (especially Excel)
• Fluency in English - second language is a plus (German not essential)

The Nice to Haves
• Relevant experience in a similar position, ideally in an international environment.
• Experience with Peoplesoft & Hyperion or similar systems.
• Exceptional ability in understanding complex accounting structures and strong analytical expertise.
