The Job
WarnerMedia seeks a Director, Consolidated Financial Reporting for the Consolidated Financial Reporting department.
Consolidated Financial Reporting group m anages financial reporting for consolidated results in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations for WarnerMedia (Legacy Turner, WM Corporate, Legacy HBO and Legacy Warner Bros.). Manage the preparation and submission of consolidated financial statements and all related footnote disclosure for inclusion in the AT&T quarterly and annual SEC filings. Manage all related external reporting ensuring that accounting and reporting of consolidated financial reporting and schedules is accurate and complete. Manage SOX controls monitoring and reporting and other ad hoc reporting as necessary. Act as liaison with external auditors to support audit requests and queries. Partner with the Accounting function in the delivery of process efficiencies and to streamline reporting deliverables. Partner with Technical Accounting team to ensure consolidated reporting reflects appropriate application of policy. Act as liaison with parent company, AT&T, to ensure adequate explanation of submitted results, communicate reporting requirement revisions to internal partners and to obtain alignment on process efficiencies.
The Daily
• Work with team to manage WarnerMedia's Consolidated Actuals close and reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and WarnerMedia policies, specifically management of the eliminations (intracompany and intercompany) and intercompany Balance Sheet activity. Responsible for various supporting reporting schedules to AT&T
• Oversees Legacy HBO reporting team
• Manage mapping of financial data from WarnerMedia systems into AT&T systems and ensure all systems are in sync
• Detail review certain monthly and quarterly reporting to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and WarnerMedia policy
• Collaborate with internal/external customers, business partners and peers to drive efficiencies in processes and effectively meet deliverables
• Interface with external/internal auditors in managing requests concerning processes and deliverables
• Assist in providing ad hoc reporting and analysis and with various other projects, including cross-divisional initiatives, as required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA license strongly preferred
• In depth knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• 8 (eight) or more years of progressive experience in accounting and finance; mix of corporate and public accounting experience preferred
• 3 (three) or more years of experience in a role with demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
• Consolidations experience, preferably at a large multinational company requiring inter-company reconciliation and eliminations
• Variance analysis and reporting experience; familiarity with impact of foreign currency re-measurement and/or translation preferred
• ERP system reporting experience
