The Job
Turner Services Inc. seeks a Data Architect for the Ad Sales department.

The Data Architect is an essential role on our team and organization. We're looking for someone who has extensive professional experience working with a team of people to produce elegant data solutions that empower our users to make critical business decisions. This person will need to be comfortable being a leader on the technical design, seeing the big picture, giving feedback on requirements, being a mentor to other team members, partnering across teams and departments, and producing great solutions.

The Daily
• Be passionate about enterprise level data solutions and how they fit into enterprise applications
• Independently research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches to address challenging development and integration problems with data centric cloud systems
• Define, design and deliver cloud architecture for enterprise applications hosted or built natively on the cloud and integrating with on-prem systems
• Collaborate with fellow technical resources to shape the data design of features within the application
• Take pride and ownership over the applications in which they work
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems and applications
• Visualize the organization's data and propose solutions on how it can be leveraged
• Have cloud security and best practices in mind when designing solutions
• Have a strong ability to facilitate, analyze and design tasks to develop cloud managed, high performance, mission critical applications with high availability and disaster recovery mechanisms
• Create workflow diagrams to document current and future business environment
• Review source data files (1st party, 3rd party) and provide detailed analysis
• Setup internal processing and automation systems based on architecture design specifications as necessary
• Provide complete testing support to include unit testing, system/integration testing, UAT and implementation support
• Possess strong facilitation, questioning, and listening skills to ask right questions of individuals and groups to surface essential requirements information
• Have the ability to listen to listen, understand and have open discussions for betterment of solution.

The Essentials
• Minimum of 8+ years of professional development experience
• Demonstrated experience with both relational, analytical, and document databases
• Demonstrated experience with Snowflake
• Demonstrated experience in a modern development language (nodejs/ javascript, python, c#)
• Demonstrated experience with ETL, moving and transforming data between stores
• Demonstrated experience with data warehousing
• Demonstrated experience with data governance
• Advanced understanding of data modeling
• Advanced understanding of big data concepts and processing large amounts of data
• Advanced understanding of data warehousing principles
• In-depth experience with AWS and/or azure technologies
• Demonstrated success implementing systems based on cloud technologies
• Ability to collaborate with the team, including participating in and leading design sessions, story grooming sessions, and code reviews
• Desire to mentor more junior technical resources on the team and foster a collaborative environment
• Experience working on a team using an agile methodology (SCRUM, FDD, XP, Kanban, etc.)
• Experience across the software development life cycle, from analysis to support
• Basic understanding of master data management (MDM)
• BS or MS in Computer Science, MBA, MIS, or equivalent education, training, and/or experience.
