The Job

Turner Services Inc. seeks a Creative Director for the Creative Production department.

Within the Creative Marketing Department, the Creative Director will be a Brand Team co-lead with the Marketing Director.

Together, they are responsible for brand development of multiple series, shows and programs. This position will oversee the creative marketing and communication for priority specific brands across all communication points and media platforms. Collaborating with senior department leadership and Directors, the Creative Director will help facilitate the translation of marketing objectives into creative strategies and provide appropriate brand solutions. This is a multifaceted role, providing leadership, supervision and scheduling of assigned team.

The Creative Director will be held responsible for the level of creative ideas, design and final production of the ideas. The creative must be constantly pushing the CNN brand in both a fresh direction and final execution.

The Daily
• Develop, sell and execute creative campaigns across multiple, key assigned brands.
• Create new ways to market this brand.
• Develop thoughtful solutions to keep brands top of mind with target even when shows are currently on-air.
• Develop, maintain and/or update the schedules of the team's projects and resources.
• Be constantly teaching and developing the creative skills of the Writer/Producers inside the team.

The Essentials
• Minimum 10 years television marketing/planning experience
• Thorough knowledge of national and world news and entertainment events
• Deep understanding of digital, social brands and their capabilities
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong communication and management skills
• BA or BS with Mass Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent experience
• Experience in developing marketing plans
• Complete familiarity with CNN programming, media reach and on-air talent
• Excellent understanding of typography, design and animation/motion design
• In depth knowledge of broadcast standards and the post-production process
• Comfortable learning new technology and equipment
• Experience art directing video shoots
• Knowledge and demonstrated ability with the following software and design tools: After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro and InDesign
