The Job

WarnerMedia seeks an Advanced QA Analyst for the EDS Core_Corp department. The ideal candidate for this position will be a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineer who demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of data warehousing, with an emphasis on quality and requirements traceability issues through the development life cycle. This individual must have been through multiple iterations of successful data warehouse projects.

The Daily
• Develop and implement QA methodologies, processes and documentation.
• Ability to perform in an Agile environment.
• Understand high-level data warehousing requirements of the business.
• Work closely with data architect and analytics team to understand system and business requirements.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts and test results.
• Perform System, Functional and Integration testing as well as Performance testing where appropriate.
• Work with Product managers and Users during UAT
• Contribute to the project planning process by estimating QA tasks and deliverables.

The Essentials
• Expert level knowledge of QA practices
• Expert level knowledge of SQL
• Working knowledge of RDBMS systems, ETL tools (Business Objects Data Services preferred), Business Objects Reporting and Analytics
• Exceptional analytic thinker and problem solver
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments
• Experience with Unix Shell Scripts and languages such as (Korn Shell, Awk, Perl, ruby)
• Used shell scripts to Transform/Cleanse/Summarize file data in various formats
• Experience in FTP and file processing
• Specific QA experience with digital analytics
• Experience with Map-Reduce/Hadoop/Hive and processing Big Data
• Familiar with SQL Server, Netezza, Oracle
• Familiar with Star Schemas and design principals
• Self-starter, team-oriented and very analytical
• 5 years solid experience as a senior level QA engineer in a data warehousing, reporting and analytics environment.
• BS in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience
