THE ROLE
Do you like the big picture? Reporting to the VP of Corporate Planning the Financial Analyst will support the consolidation, prep, and analysis of the monthly and quarterly reporting exercises for the entire company. You will directly contribute to reports, decks, and analysis that the C-Suite will use during quarterly earnings calls and Board of Director's meetings.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Own the consolidation and analysis of the monthly forecast submissions of financials and key operational metrics from the various LNE global divisions and deliver monthly forecast deck to executive management
• Prepare quarterly Board of Directors presentations, including supporting detail package for the CFO
• Understand, analyze and develop key operational metrics and trends by working closely with the divisions
• Serve as the finance business partner to the operational divisions on deliverables in support of the monthly forecast, monthly close, and annual budget processes
• Provide timely, accurate, and meaningful analysis of variances between actuals, forecast, budget, and prior year
• Support Corporate Accounting SEC reporting requirements for 10-Q and 10-K reporting of financial results and operational metrics
• Ensure data integrity and consistency between Oracle (ERP system) and BPC (Forecasting system) to ensure that variances are reconciled and corrected
• Analyze and validate monthly capital expenditures
• Support the annual preparation of shared costs allocations
• Supervise and manage one financial analyst
• Undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by senior management
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Bachelor's Degree required from a top-tier university (finance or accounting preferred), MBA preferred
• 7–9 years of relevant Financial Planning experience (financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting)
• Public accounting / Big 4 experience a plus
• Entertainment or eCommerce industry experience a plus
• Experience with Forecasting software tools – BPC experience a plus
• Must be self-motivated & possess a ''roll up the sleeves attitude'' and ''hands-on'' style, with the aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Ability to meet critical deadlines by balancing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Must be flexible with hours to accommodate workload fluctuations
• Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Reports, Index(Match(Sumifs)) etc.), and proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact appropriately with all levels of the organization
• Ability to solve problems independently and make strong recommendations
• Ability to participate in a collaborative team environment
