THE ROLE

The Operations Specialist for Concerts, Venues & Festivals (CV&F) is responsible for the implementation and supply chain management of a wide variety of goods and services needed to operate our diverse portfolio of iconic live performance venues and produce our one-of-a-kind festival experiences. The Operations Specialist for CV&F is a new role that reports to the Senior Director of Concerts, Venues & Festivals for the Global Procurement team. The Operations Specialist for CV&F is broadly responsible for supporting stakeholders' overarching strategic and operational objectives, while reducing cost structurally and permanently, where possible. The Operations Specialist also has responsibility for supporting strategic supplier management for relevant suppliers. This hands-on role is individually responsible for supply chain-related activities for stakeholders' highest priority projects that fall under the CV&F umbrella. The chosen individual will have the unique opportunity to help define their role to maximize the contributions to Live Nation.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Engage in proactive and productive 4-way communication between Ops, Procurement team members, suppliers, and distributors throughout the procurement process and if procurement-related issues arise after implementation
• Facilitate the last leg of Procurement-negotiated deals to smooth handoffs to Ops (e.g., rollouts)
• Help resolve national or regional national supply chain management issues (e.g., recalls, out of stocks, subs, mispicks, etc.)
• Manage Rebate Programs and Collection
• Maintain an active portfolio of simultaneous projects, oversight of key categories, and ongoing communication to influential leaders across multiple divisions
• Operationalize Deals for repeatability
• Create Training Templates for new hires and existing team members
• Embrace the diverse nature of our Business Operations and effectively navigate internal channels to solve complex operational issues
• Develop practical solutions to problems and, where applicable, empower the Ops teams to resolve them locally

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Typically, 2-4 years of dedicated Supply Chain and/or procurement experience required, or related experience in a venue operations or facilities management role, or other position involving direct interaction with customers or suppliers (e.g., business development, product management, etc.)
• Proven ability to influence and motivate others who are not direct reports to participate in projects and problem-solving
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven track record of generating value from supply chain and other procurement related projects
• Knowledge of one or more relevant categories, such as F&B, FF&E, Facilities, or MRO; familiarity with standard commercial terms and conditions for typical product and service agreements strongly preferred
• Ability to work self-directed in fast paced, matrixed, collaborative environment; self-motivated, proactive, independent, and responsive, requiring limited guidance once expectations are established for a project; excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills; highly attentive to details
• Experience performing market and supplier research
• Process-oriented with ability to identify improvements and to implement changes to realize efficiencies
• Demonstrated project management skills with experience leading multiple, concurrent programs
• Solid overall business acumen and experience involving risk mitigation approaches and contract development
• Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent in English
• Strong client service mindset
• Working knowledge of e-Catalogs and other procurement tools and methodologies, analysis and strategic sourcing preferred
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook and Word required
• CPM or CPSM a plus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; an associate degree may be considered with appropriate work experience
