The Network Infrastructure Services team is looking for a highly motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic individual who is interested in being on the operational support front lines that assists with issues/requests for our internal corporate network, our production datacenter network, and our customer facing client network. As a Level 1 Network Engineer, you can expect to develop valuable operational and procedural skills and gaining invaluable real-world experience in a large global enterprise and eCommerce environment that strives to stay on the bleeding edge of technology.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Successful candidate will have involvement in all aspects of supporting the Live Nation Data Network Design, including:
• Configuration
• Documentation
• Implementation
• Maintenance
• Troubleshoot network issues through all layers of the OSI model, across multiple technologies
• Provide network support in a large (over 6000 nodes) Cisco and Meraki environment
• Responsible for network roll out at new or remodeled offices
• Participate in cross-functional / cross-organizational team projects
• Make quick decisions on proper ways to align customer requirements with existing company or departmental procedures
• Work with the leadership to develop and implement device configuration standards, and policies and procedures that provide world class support to our business and clients.
• Utilize and evaluate/recommend enterprise tools to ensure we maintain proper visibility and awareness of the health of the overall network and network devices, and ensure that proper processes are in place to react to issues promptly.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• 2-4 years of working experience in a customer driven support role for an organization similar to our size
• Knowledge of the TCP/IP network stack and OSI model
• Practical knowledge of the IEEE 802 standards
• Knowledge and experience related to IT infrastructure preferred
• Meraki experience preferred
• Familiarity with other network tools preferred
• Understanding of network design theories
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in a large Enterprise multi-vendor environment
• Prior knowledge of best practices regarding network deployments for our venues, offices and client locations. (Preferred)
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex, high pressure situations.
• Ability to provide both hands on solutions and management of projects as well as deliver training
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including VISIO and Excel
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to travel 25% of the year
