THE TEAM

The Finance Operations team plays a vital role in the business, work closely with the internal stakeholders, clients, and the fans. The team supports the day-to-day finance operations including reconciling and investigate balances across Ticketmaster platforms and finance systems, providing Event Settlements in line with the contracted terms, performs Accounts Payable function and any ad-hoc projects from the Department Head. High standard of work ethics is expected to be demonstrated and to work in accordance with Ticketmaster processes and policies and audit requirements.

THE JOB

The Finance Manager provides ongoing guidance and coaching to the direct report(s), requires an analytical mind and an eye for details to manage, support and oversee all aspect of the finance operations and ensure contractual obligations are met and the team delivers in line with the Ticketmaster and Live Nation compliance.

This dynamic and fast paced role is for someone who likes working with tight daily and monthly deadlines and has a genuine desire to learn about the business. Most importantly demonstrates a macro management style and cultivates workplace transparency appropriately.

This position manages the XERO accounting system, ensuring the reconciliation of the AP and AR subledgers, reviews the balance sheet schedules and month end duties including but not limited to rebates accruals, interest accruals, balancing of the suspense ledgers, and support the request of corporate from the Line Manager. You will lead the Event Settlements with Clients and needs to ensure contracts are implanted from the financial side of the business, event finance requirements are supported and met, and provide support to key clients when additional requests are made. Assist with client reporting and balancing to ensure that the settlements issued on time and are completely correct per the contractual terms.
Other duties include cashflow management, administrative matters as requested from the Line Manager. Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory reporting in accordance with IFRS and other applicable local regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Responsibilities and Key Result Areas
• Oversee sales are reconciled correctly and troubleshoot issues across the various TM systems.
• Ensure weekly payments are promptly processed with appropriate approvals, and duly authorized
• Responsible for the timely submission of monthly, quarterly and yearly closing
• Review GST returns accurately and ensure timely submission
• Responsible for the preparation of local income tax filings
• Review Client contracts ensuring clients are paid and charged in accordance with rate card and schedules
• Prepare audit work papers and perform analysis of accounts
• Lead and adhere to Live Nation/Ticketmaster audit and policy requirements across the business and finance team.

Primary Duties
• Review daily reconciliation of Accounts Receivables
• Reconcile AP and AR subledgers in compliance with LN policies
• Analyse balance sheet schedules and ensures appropriate explanatory notes are made
• Prepare bank account reconciliation for operating and escrow accounts
• Ensure contracted payments, advances are all SOX compliance
• Lead compliance in the business across audit
• Participate in the development of company policy and strategic plans
• Manage TM and LNE Audit and compliance requirements
• Review the monthly interest calculations and payments
• Ensure Operations meet safety and compliance best practice when managing cash
• Oversee processing of all refund requests
• Provide finance support to any large events
• Provide weekly and month end cash balance reports
• Admin support and set up all users banking systems
• Prepare month end closing within the required timeline, usually Work Day 3
• Provide weekly and monthly special financial reports as required by Line Manager to make clear business decisions
• Responsible for risk management of the business and ensure appropriate insurances are covered adequately

• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams
• Skilled in the use of finance systems is desirable – Xero, Oracle, and SAP
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapid changing environment, whilst managing stress and meeting deadlines under flexible working arrangements.
