THE ROLE
The Compliance Manager will work within the Governance, Risk, Compliance team and partner with the Legal team and Business Leaders across the organization to implement and maintain a robust compliance program focused on governing regulatory areas including anti-corruption, antitrust, accessibility, human trafficking, third-party risk, etc. This work will also include Live Nation's third parties companies and mergers & acquisitions. The role is responsible for supporting policy development, implementation, and training, applicable reporting, as well as ensuring that issues identified internally and externally are remediated and learnings are incorporated into programs to prevent future issues.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Conduct regular GAP analysis on new and updated controls and best practices in the industry
• Support the development and execution of the Company's global ethics & compliance program to ensure the organization operates in accordance with applicable laws and regulations across it's global footprint.
• Collaborate across the business to ensure effective and sustainable enterprise-wide compliance programs; support and implement compliance initiatives, and encourage managers and employees to report suspected fraud and other improprieties, without fear of retaliation.
• Support the the introduction of Live Nation's policy, procedure, tools, and shared services teams to newly acquired and joint venture companies worldwide
• Support steering committees and collaborate with program stakeholders
• Identify compliance weaknesses as well as emerging laws & regulations and implement mitigating actions within the business, across new mergers & acquisitions, and third party partners as appropriate.
• Develop compliance training content, prepare formal presentation materials, and deliver live training sessions at the Company's subsidiaries and at various conferences/meetings.
• Work with relevant parties to Investigate potential compliance violations as needed and prepare written reports documenting the scope of the work performed and overall conclusion.
• Act as an advocate and champion of the compliance program among leadership, employees and agents and serve as a resource for compliance and ethics matters including consulting services and strategic direction on internal controls, business process optimization, risk management, and other areas
• Coordinate internal compliance review and monitoring activities, including periodic reviews of companies/divisions/departments.
• Stay abreast of current business, economic, and regulatory developments relevant to the Company
• Work closely with the leadership and other shared services teams to understand the business/compliance case behind each initiative and clearly articulate the value to partners across the business
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Compliance background and/or Bachelor's Degree in Compliance, Legal or equivalent field of study required
• Previous experience in the entertainment industry is a plus
• Experience in policy creation and implementation is a plus
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Excellent computer skills including experience with project management applications (Asana, Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint) and Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, process improvement and project management skills required
• Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders in order to meet organizational goals within deadlines
• Ability to work in large global environments spanning multiple time zones
• Ability to maintain discretion with sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to present for small to medium-sized, cross-functional groups on relevant topics and Project management best practices
• Passionate and willing to learn
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) or PMP certified is a plus
