Job Description
The Orchard is looking for a Sr. Analyst, Finance & Accounting to join our Finance team. This position will report into the Sr. Director, Finance & Accounting.

What you'll do
• Office- first role, in office 4 days a week.
• Provide customer status updates to various stakeholders including Business Development, Sony Music Global Digital Business, Finance, etc.
• Co-lead meetings with stakeholders (i.e. Business Development, Statement Processing teams) focusing on any issues around cash receipts, invoice status, and sales reporting with any digital customers.
• Work with the Manager, Finance & Accounting to determine the which digital sales files can be processed for the month based on the digital customers' cash receipt status and payment history.
• Reconcile AR accounts by digital customer, prepare a monthly aging, and analyze monthly account movement.
• Reconcile the revenue statements vs. cash received by customers.
• Work with the offshore finance team to ensure new customers are properly set up and invoiced in accordance with the contractual terms.
• Review and approve customer invoices created by the offshore finance team.
• Review of daily cash claims submitted by the offshore finance team.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and actively follow-up on significantly past due accounts.
• For various business units, calculate the revenue and costs associated with each customer / campaign. Work with various invoicing teams to issue invoices. Prepare the related journal entries.
• Create and maintain a tracker of all digital customers deals with minimum guarantees / advances. Prepare monthly recoupment analysis by digital customer.
• Work with Risk & Controls and external auditors on providing sample selection support.
• Participate in the month end close process by preparing various journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Who you are
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 3 years in accounting or finance
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups
• Experience working with Google Docs & Microsoft Suite
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
• Self-starter with organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

The anticipated annual base salary does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
