Job Description
The Hollywood Reporter is seeking an Associate Editor with a passion for the entertainment industry to aggregate, write, edit and publish news content for THR's dynamic, award-winning website, THR.com, as well as the brand's social media platforms. This editor will work primarily at night and on weekends.

The Associate Editor will work in the newsroom, helping to identify, advance and curate breaking entertainment and viral news stories, as well as aggregate from other authoritative sources, and may occasionally assist with the editing of stories from staff and freelance reporters. The associate editor will also curate the homepage for THR.com, post content on social media platforms and edit video.

Requirements and Qualifications:
• 3 years' experience writing and editing for a digital media site, magazine or newspaper
• Excellent news judgment and editing skills
• Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS publishing and web production tools, and understanding of SEO
• Experience curating content for social media platforms
• Experience with photo editing tools, Photoshop/Adobe Creative Suite preferred
• Video editing experience a plus
• Team player with positive, proactive, problem-solving attitude
• Ability to work late nights and weekend news shifts, and work in a 24/7 news cycle.

Typical wage range: $64,500-64,500

Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
