Job Description
The Hollywood Reporter is hiring an Art Production Manager. The Art Production Manager is the liaison between Designers, the Copy Department, and the printer. They are responsible for maintaining the flow of layouts by routing and expediting all layouts and copy at every stage of production to relevant people and departments, ensuring that press deadlines are met.

Responsibilities:
• Create, edit, and keep templates up to date, including style sheets in InDesign
• Check text styles and spacing on all layouts, ensuring that they are consistent with the templates.
• Create, manage, and edit the Art Department InDesign libraries
• Create and keep the digital map/mini-wall up to date in PowerPoint
• Attach and assign articles and layouts in InDesign using K4 and move layouts through the K4 workflow
• Process images when needed
• Pre-flight InDesign documents to printer specifications (and solve any problems)
• Create PDFs to send to the printer using naming conventions set by printer.
• Drupal Tag InDesign documents
• Work with the Managing Editor as well as the Art/Photo department to hit deadlines
• Collect all final images for FTP site
• Administration of K4 vjoon website:
create Issues, advance Issues, archive Issues, solve problems with files/users

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in print production management
• Media industry experience preferred

Experience with the following programs:
• Adobe: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, TypeKit
• K4
• Universal Type Client
• Slack
• Zoom
• Microsoft: PowerPoint, Outlook
• Airtable, Google Sheets

Typical wage range: $88k - $98k

Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
