Publicist – Lifestyle, CGP and Beauty

Full Time - Los Angeles

The deFIANT is an entertainment/lifestyle/beauty/fashion PR firm located in Los Angeles, CA. The perfect candidate should be a creative multi-tasker with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, exceptional organizational skills, and a team player who works well in a collaborative environment. This is an extremely fast paced office that requires true commitment. Must have agency experience, media contacts and writing skills. Job Description:

• Working with beauty, CPG, fashion and lifestyle clients maintaining clear day-to-day communication with clients

• Day to day pitching media on clients

• Securing media placements on a daily basis

• Liaising with top tier publications, broadcast, podcasts

• Writing press releases and pitches

• Schedule desk sides/studio visit appointments with editors and producers

• Develop editor, social and blogger target list for all clients

• Monitor all outlets for secured clippings and coverage and circulate to the client

• Send clients weekly and monthly reports that lists all activity

• Maintaining press lists of editors, bloggers, stylists, influencers, and tastemakers for fashion shows and events and creating detailed status reports to be updated daily

• Fulfilling VIP sample requests

• Manage and execute events for assigned clients

• Secure attendees, manage guest list and RSVP's execute post-event coverage

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree ideally in Public Relations, Communications or Marketing

• 5 years of experience in Consumer/Fashion/Beauty/Lifestyle PR

• Excellent written and communications skills and attention to detail

• The ability to multitask, prioritize, and operate under pressure

• Social media skills (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)
