Job Description
Tennis Channel is searching for a Crewing Manager to become part of its team in its state-of-the-art facility in Santa Monica, California. The Crewing Manager will oversee all production crewing needs for over 400+ live studio and remote events every year over multiple networks including Tennis Channel, Tennis Channel 2, and Pickleball TV. Studio production consists of four control rooms and one studio (soon to be two studios) and remote productions are REMI both domestic and international.
This position will report to the Production Director, Remotes & Studio and work closely with all other departments including Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and Production Management.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Search, recruit, develop, and motivate a passionate and diverse pool of technicians.
• Source, negotiate rates and terms, book, and schedule all crew (staff and freelancers) for both studio and remote field productions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical crew positions, pre/post production, and crew duties for studio and remote TV productions.
• Work with pre/post production to assign and schedule Pre and Post Editors and Preditors.
• Scheduling and maintaining crew resources using Xytech (similar to ScheduAll), a cloud based software crew management tool.
• Work effectively with all senior management and production team.
• Work with Finance for onboarding new hires and oversee payroll for all crew.
• Review, correct, and approve crew sign in sheets and timecards; work with Finance to troubleshoot payroll issues.
• Manage and maintain ongoing required HR employee compliance training and monitor that company policies are maintained.
• Maintain crew progress reports.
• Assist in the deployment of a new crew digital database and scheduling tool.
• Be available for ''on call'' crewing issues.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a live sports broadcast environment, preferably in a crewing capacity
• Knowledge of Xytech, ScheduAll, or computer data-based scheduling systems is highly desirable
• Good knowledge of current crew contacts in the Los Angeles area, US and international is a plus
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills, able to manage strong personalities, and act with discretion
• Must be solution based, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with weekly and monthly deadlines
• Computer literacy to include Xytech, Excel, MS Word, Outlook, TEAMS; experience with Cast & Crew is a plus
• Experience with non-union production and guidelines in various formats
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• A passion and enjoyment of Tennis is a plus

The base salary compensation range for this role is $92,500 to $102,750. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
