NewsWest 9 and Fox West Texas in Midland/Odessa, TX and Abilene/San Angelo, TX are in search of a bold, creative and curious leader with exceptional community relations skills to head up our Marketing Departments! This Marketing Director will oversee the direction and creation of amazing content created to drive audiences to NewsWest 9 and Fox West Texas news and programming on multiple platforms. In addition, our ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader who is highly motivated, team-oriented with a positive attitude and always willing to help teach others new skills. Candidates should have samples of their work (successful campaigns, spots and graphic treatments).

Responsibilities:
• Managing a team of producers and designers to implement station marketing goals
• Reaching more audience with marketing messages for multiple platforms
• Writing, producing, and editing content for all owned and paid media platforms
• Creating and engaging in on-site local events and festivals with experiential marketing opportunities
• Collaborating with the news, sales, community engagement, technology, business, and production to execute a consistent look and brand of KWES & KIDY/KXVA on every platform
• Identifying new opportunities to connect with the community on emerging platforms
• Identify and recommend external marketing, social platforms, and digital opportunities
• Leading promotional shoots and assisting on commercial productions
• Executing synergy projects with adjacent brands
• Interpreting research data to develop strategies for new audiences
• Managing advertising inventory on owned, earned and paid media platforms
• Collaborating with the other departments on opportunities to advance the KWES & KIDY/KXVA brands and grow audiences

Job Requirements:
• BA or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a news marketing department or equivalent experience in the marketing and creative industry
• Stellar knowledge in professional HD/4K videography equipment, including DSLRs & high-end cinema cameras - creative lighting techniques, audio mixing and motion graphic design.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop & After Effects
• Ability to identify clear priorities and meet departmental, company and corporate goals
• Work continually toward self-development.
• MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & iWork: Pages, Numbers, & Keynote.
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to utilize data research to make tough and strategic decisions
• Ability to interact productively and positively with fellow employees
• Ability to manage multiple activities and prioritize deadlines
• Ability to collaborate with internal personnel and external partners and apply strategic thinking
• Attends offsite company functions when appropriate/necessary
• Ability to pitch and present concepts and campaigns to key clients
• Performs other duties as directed by General Manager
