The Manager of Ad Operations & Platforms is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Central Ad Ops team. They are responsible for interviewing, hiring, training and development of the team. This position requires mastery of the digital workflow between business units and ad operations to provide end-to-end advertising campaign management. This Manager is also in charge of leading special projects and working with other internal teams. Position is hybrid work from home. Tuesday and Thursday in the downtown Dallas Office.
Responsibilities:
• Manage Central Ad Operations team: Day to day activities, interviewing, hiring, training and development of new digital ad ops specialist
• Manage multiple internal and external policies: Must understand the sales opportunities and business rules in relation to each division being supported and manage conflict resolution that can occur.
• Support all Business Units assigned to Team: Own the relationship with the business units that have been assigned and be the primary communicator from ad operations.
• Business Unit / Digital Ad Ops Workflow: Must master the digital workflow that connects the business units their teams support and the ad servers we maintain to fulfill buys across the TEGNA ad network.
• Campaign Scheduling: Must fully understand all aspects of the ad servers and how to appropriately schedule campaigns.
• Creative Scheduling: Must fully understand all aspects of the ad servers, ad specs, creative templates and ad tags to ensure proper execution of creative elements to campaigns.
• Delivery Management: Must have in depth knowledge of ad server delivery logic to troubleshoot delivery issues and provide effective solutions to manage campaign delivery in full.
• Reporting: Provides department and campaign reporting metrics, ensure reporting needs are being fulfilled to all business units assigned for team.
• Troubleshooting: Provide solutions for campaigns, software's, business unit operations issues.
• Communication: Ensure detailed and proper communication to all stakeholders and teams on operations projects, initiatives, etc.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the department QA protocol, rate card adherence, campaign accuracy.
• Project Management: Represent the Ad Operations team on all facets of digital advertising operations, ensure proper timeliness, and SLA's are attained.
Job Requirements:
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a business or technical related discipline.
• 5+ years of working experience in ad serving platforms or ad trafficking. (3-5 years of practical work experience in digital technology or advertising can be substituted for college education).

Technical Skills
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Flash, HTML, and JavaScript knowledge.
• Previous experience in digital ad serving technologies.
Work Conditions: This position of a team that provides business critical operations for TEGNA. Shifts are aligned by time zones to support business units. Shifts range between the hours 8:00 am - 7:00 pm CST Monday- Friday.
