Job Description
TEGNA's Seattle-based NBC affiliate, KING 5 is The Home Team to some of the best media professionals in Seattle and the nation. We are looking for an experienced, creative, and innovative leader to oversee the station's non-news local programs and develop new and existing initiatives that utilize content and native marketing, digital, social, OTT and on-air products.

KING 5 is in a city and region that has experienced some of the most significant economic growth rates in the country. Our region is full of opportunity and home to many world class companies, including Starbucks, Amazon, Microsoft, Costco, Boeing and Nordstrom. This position reports to the President and General Manager and will lead a team of 20+.

Responsibilities:
• Directly manage the Evening and New Day Northwest local program teams, and a Marketing Strategist.
• Lead cross-departmental teams to develop and execute large scale projects and sponsorships to ensure the full potential of initiatives and maximize the value of sponsorships.
• Execute new and existing initiatives that utilize content and native marketing, digital, social, OTT, and on-air products.
• Actively work with the sales leadership team and account executives to identify existing and new sponsorship opportunities.
• Develop custom integrated marketing solutions for both current and prospective, non-traditional advertisers.
• Lead the production of non-news specials, including New Year's at the Needle.
• Develop and implement workflows that deliver our content to target audiences across current and future platforms with storytelling that is optimized for each screen.
• Partner with the research and digital teams to inform data-driven content decisions.
• Recruit, hire, teach, coach and mentor to create and retain a best-in-class talent Team.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of sales/marketing experience in a mid to large market.
• Proven leader and people manager with record of sales achievement.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Effective driver of integrated revenue and strategy.
• Ability to prioritize critical functions to ensure individual and team success.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, specifically building internal and client facing presentations.

Travel: Occasionally: 10-25%
