A CG Supervisor is responsible for the smooth running of the global departments of their discipline, providing creative guidance to all artists, technical direction to the departments and to act as a discipline specialist to ensure the success of show deliveries. As a creative and technical discipline leader, the role requires long-term planning and vision of the discipline globally, directing and maintaining MPC standards through all sites

• The CG Supervisor is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the assigned CG aspects of the show. They provide a clear creative delivery strategy, setting up the show for success.
• Responsible for successful quota attainment and put in place actions to remediate underperforming metrics to get back on track.
• To ensure there is a robust Blueprint and plan to execute for the project assigned, identifying technical approach, all key challenges and solutions to deliver.
• Keep to the schedule and budget defined by Producer, ensuring timely delivery.
• Meet with the show Leads on a regular basis to identify inefficiencies or technical problems with the toolset and pipeline and put in place a plan of action to resolve such issues.
• Drive dailies sessions, providing clear briefing, feedback and approvals to artists' work, matching the creative quality standards set by the VFX supervisor whilst remaining within allocated bid days.
• Create and manage the render forecast, working closely with both lighting and production teams to maintain its accuracy.
• Control and manage the Storage and Sync footprint on the project, reviewing and responsibly reducing where possible.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by your manager or a Key Business Relationship.

Qualifications

Technical & Soft Skills:
• Thorough experience in VFX Required
• Broad knowledge: Houdini/Maya/Katana (discipline-related) Preferred
• Some knowledge of a coding language: PY/VEX/C++/MEL Preferred
• Strong knowledge of show delivery strategy and process Required
• Some experience in Leading or Supervising Required
• Some VFX Management Experience (HOD) Preferred
