Job Description
Your New Role...The US Networks Research Analyst will w ork closely with the brand teams across all WBD including TBS, TNT, Discovery Channel, TLC, HGTV, FOOD, ID, and
OWN along with other groups across the company. The Research Analyst will be responsible for leveraging a variety of research resources across media (linear and non-linear platforms) to provide data driven intelligence and consumer insights in support of content strategy, marketing initiatives, competitive analysis and more. This position supports the US Networks Research Manager along with the full US Networks team , and requires someone who is innovat ive , solutions-oriented and enjoys improving processes.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Provide research support and recommendations , with the help of the team , for Senior Executives and other Warner Bros. Discovery business groups.
• Provide expertise
on competitive trends and the changing television landscape with ad-hoc reports on landscape and competitive viewing .
• Assist in production of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting needs for the brands, as well as competitive networks , across linear and streaming.
• Work with the team to manage a community of panelists who take surveys about programming, marketing, and media behaviors and help develop best practices for the community.
• Interface with teams across the company including Research , Finance, Strategy, Marketing, Digital, and more to answer brand-impacting questions with speed, insight, and accuracy .
• Communicate data and insights in meetings, strategy sessions, emails, and presentations .
• Develop creative approaches to uncover consumer insights and marketplace trends to inform company strategy.
• Responsible for data entry and maintenance via myEvents system for multiple networks which includes: telecast line-up, daily/weekly proofing, weekly data release and monthly finalization.
Qualifications and Experience...
• Minimum of 1 to 1.5 years relevant work experience in Media Research, Market Research, Consumer Insight, or related fiel d .
• K nowledge of Nielsen data and systems; Npower , Star Media, Nielsen Content Link/ Myevnts , Lake5 ; ComScore a plus
• Experience with survey design, programming, and analysis; community and panel management a plus and experience with Alida a plus .
• Solid research, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills .
• Ability to synthesize information and research data to ''tell a story '' with action-oriented implications .
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail .
• Strong interest in understanding consumer behavior , TV, media, and/or entertainment industries .
• Team player ; m ust be able to work independently yet take direction well when necessary .
• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint .
• Minimum of a BS or BA degree required .
