Your New Role

The Director, Technology Business Solution role will support the Warner Brother Discovery (WBD) Technology & Operation organization as a member of the Office of CIO (OCIO) Technology Business Solutions (TBS) practice. The role will be responsible for providing Tech strategy and business operations consulting, solutioning, and partnership services in the area of integration, transformation, and optimization of the WBD T&O landscape. This position will report into the VP, Technology Business Solutions and will be based in Atlanta, GA.

The ideal candidate will have a unique mix of functional competencies, operational acumen, and strategic mindset. We are looking for someone who will roll up their sleeves, take ownership, drive buy-in and implementation of strategic initiatives, who has demonstrated success in leading and executing, who has experience in creating and improving processes, who is technically-minded, and who can effectively communicate and be comfortable in a dynamic fast-growing company. Strong candidates will have a demonstrated record of success working in uncertain environments, having driven strategic priorities with a high level of independence. This is a client and executive facing role that requires being able to balance multiple projects, priorities, and detail while cultivating a trusted relationship with global partners and managing a team.

Your Role Accountabilities

The Director, Technology Business Solutions will be a critical member of the OCIO TBS team and will work directly with stakeholders from T&O and cross vertical business partners to:
• Lead wide range of transactional internal consulting projects such as delivering new frameworks, standing up practices, setting up a complex programs, performing function-specific studies, delivering vendor assessments, developing cost models..etc
• Lead solutioning engagements and work with business partners to define and plan transformation opportunities in order to streamline, globalize, standardize, optimize and modernize T&O capabilities.
• Drive business process re-engineering efforts. Comprehend, document, and analyze complex business workflows, collaborate with functional teams to define areas of improvement and design future state process
• Conduct investments due diligence efforts to include comprehensive business case development, trade off studies, cost modeling, and benchmark studies to drive recommendations that validate opportunities relevance
• Analyze and interpret complex data from various sources to derive conclusions and communicate insights
• Support Tech Executives, Finance, and People & Culture teams on organizational initiatives to deliver new and optimized services, capabilities, and teams
• Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, T&O department, and outside vendors
• Create consensus with other functions as to the timing of solution introductions and withdrawals
• Identify, screen and evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet (internal and external) customer needs.
• Develop deep and trusted relationships with key partners and use the knowledge of their business processes and requirements to drive technology strategy and work prioritization.
• Develop executive material and analytics dashboards
• Provide financial oversight in the development and tracking of program budgets, including but not limited to reconciliation, reporting, and understanding of variances
• Manage consultants and vendors on strategic engagements by providing direction, guidance, and oversight

Qualifications & Experiences
• MBA or equivalent of 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience and 5 years in management consulting. Past experience in a Media company of similar scale is a plus
• Demonstrated business acumen, problem solving skills, intellectual maturity, and relationship management skills
• Foundational knowledge in key technology domains with ability to understand architectural diagrams and make sense of a complex workflow.
• Ability to deliver financial based models, calculators, and analysis. Ability to deliver compelling business cases, including the ability to tell a story and communicate business value and benefits.
• Delivery of client ready polished material (Powerpoints and power BI dashboards)
• Ability to develop quantitative and qualitative analysis of complex data sets to synthesize relevant recommendations. Strong attention to detail while seeing the big picture
• Ability to influence without authority and builds strong rapport with stakeholders inside and outside of technology teams to deliver results. Self-driven and able to work across diverse technical and non-technical teams (IT, Infosec, Digital, Engineering,
Operations, Finance, People & Culture, Accounting, Vendors…etc)
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Mindset to be a leader and a team player with passion for transformation – serve as a cultural ambassador demonstrating through actions continuous learning, a positive outlook, a drive to make an impact and being accountable for results
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills (in person & remote)
• Ability to operate successfully in a lean, agile, and fast-paced organization
• Strong organizational, task, and project management skills
• Advanced MS excel and power BI skills (or like virtualization tool)
