Job Description
Account Director, Content (Film/Television/Streaming)
Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis has an immediate opening for a strategic, high-energy Account Director to join our London office. We are looking for a modern storyteller who understands that in 2026, the British entertainment landscape is a global engine. You know that a successful campaign is no longer just about a West End premiere-it is about architecting a narrative that moves seamlessly between streaming platforms, social ecosystems, and the broader cultural conversation.
You have at least 7–8 years of experience and a deep mastery of the UK and European film and television landscape. You understand the nuances of a festival run-from London and Edinburgh to Cannes and Berlin-the mechanics of the BAFTA and awards season, and the shifting dynamics of the global streaming world. Most importantly, you know that a true modern storyteller looks beyond the red carpet to drive engagement both online and offline, rethinking traditional concepts to ensure content breaks through the noise.
The Role:
• Modern Storytelling & Release Strategy: Lead the development of 360-degree communications strategies for film, TV, and streaming projects. You understand how to build a narrative that captures the attention of UK national press, global trades, and digital-first audiences alike.
• Integrated Campaign Leadership: Manage account teams and projects from inception to completion. You serve as a strategic partner to UK-based production companies, directors, and creators, ensuring that every campaign is integrated with brand, influencer, and digital strategy.
• Executive & Talent Counsel: Build impactful, trusting relationships with clients and talent. You provide thoughtful counsel through the high-pressure environments of junkets, set visits, and stressful release windows, acting as a steady advisor to senior stakeholders and talent agents.
• Media & Cultural Authority: Leverage an elite network of entertainment contacts across the UK and international media. You understand how to bridge the gap between traditional broadsheets and the emerging platforms where modern audiences live.
• Global Collaboration: Partner with senior colleagues across our US and international offices on integrated, multi-market accounts. You are energized by the opportunity to collaborate with our talent, social, and brand integration teams to create truly global campaigns.
• Mentorship & Team Architecture: Train and mentor junior staff on the inner workings of entertainment PR and modern client management. This is incredibly important to us-you are a natural coach who is invested in building the next generation of UK industry leaders.
• Business Development: Lead new business meetings and draft persuasive proposals for the UK market. You are a confident closer who can articulate the value of a modern, integrated approach to entertainment communications.
• Relationship Driven: You recognize that the entertainment business is built on trust and integrity. You lead by example in every interaction-prioritizing professional poise and transparency with your team, your clients, and the media.
Who You Are:
• The Entertainment Specialist: You have at least 8 years of public relations experience, with a specific focus on film and television. You have a proven track record of maneuvering through the complexities of the UK broadcast landscape and global streaming services.
• The Modern Strategist: You are an outside-the-box thinker who loves a good brainstorm. You know how to rethink traditional concepts to drive engagement and establish media opportunities for talent that feel fresh, authentic, and culturally relevant.
• A Meticulous Storyteller: You are a strong writer-persuasive, concise, and creative. You can take a complex production or a visionary director's concept and translate it into a narrative that compels an editor to take notice.
• Entrepreneurial & Curious: You have an innate curiosity and a desire to grow your skills beyond a single vertical. You are excited to work with everyone from major studios and streamers to independent British production houses.
• Exceptionally Organized: You excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. You are accountable, decisive, and take genuine pride in the precision of your work.
• Driven to Over-Deliver: You take pride in being part of something good and are energized by the challenge of bringing entertainment moments to life in a way that exceeds client expectations.

We go well beyond the benefits that you're looking for like medical, dental, and vision plans and annual merit-based bonuses. Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis offers those benefits and many perks including, a flexible work schedule, Work from Anywhere program, Summer Fridays, Wellness Days, and a 4-week sabbatical or trip to celebrate select anniversaries. We love to socialize so, we have collaborative workspaces, some offices even have rooftops, celebrations, networking opportunities, and community volunteering.
