Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW

The Labs Coordinator, Production Equipment is charged with tracking, distributing and returning equipment and providing team coverage and assistance to ensure all production needs are met for our summer labs and workshops.

Working closely under the direction of the Manager, Production and Technical Operations, the Labs Coordinator, Production Equipment supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to developing independent artists across many disciplines.

This temporary position works from Monday, April 17, 2023 through Wednesday, June 28, 2023. This position will begin remotely, working a variable hour schedule from Monday, April 17, 2023 to Sunday, May 21, 2023. Hours will then increase beginning on Monday, May 22, 2023 and the position will work full time out of the Sundance Resort from Monday, May 22, 2023 through Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Sundance Institute will provide meals and accommodations in a shared home when the position is based out of the Resort. Extended hours including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays will be required. Days off will rotate and not be consistent.

Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Acting as a production point person for the summer labs with a specific focus on equipment.
• Working with managers to ensure lab spaces are fully functional, set up, clean, and torn down appropriately.
• Tracking donated, purchased, rented, and owned equipment for the Summer Lab programs.
• Ensuring all equipment is received and shipped back to appropriate locations.
• Facilitating on-site collaboration with external and internal stakeholders, including assisting our content team so they can meet their deliverables, shot lists, photo setup, etc.
• Conducting ongoing equipment checks with key crew and stage managers
• Coordinating the movement of equipment to and from storage, including unpacking, inspecting, and distributing equipment to appropriate locations on the mountain.
• Receiving and maintaining art department inventory, including prop and furniture owned and stored by the Institute.
• Reviewing and coding equipment invoices and submitting them by deadlines while adhering to internal procedures.
• Completing timely accident forms for damaged equipment and working with the manager to ensure insurance claims are processed.
• Supporting other areas of lab operations as needed and as directed.
• Supporting load in and load out of labs including packing, shipping, organizing, and setting up meeting spaces and offices.
• Taking inventory, delivering, and maintaining radio equipment for employees and volunteers.
• Updating documented procedures and completing a wrap report with suggestions for improvement.

You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of DMV background check.
• 2 years experience in production, venue operations, or related.
• Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google applications.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work successfully with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to manage expectations of others with excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience entering and tracking information in databases preferred.
