POSITION OVERVIEW
The Digital Course & Event Producer is charged with designing and producing courses, Master Classes and online events (including Insider Sessions) for Sundance Collab, our online community platform for creators around the globe and a digital extension of Sundance Institute artist programs.
Working closely under the direction of the Director, Collab Courses & Events, the Course & Event Producer supports Sundance Institutes commitment to support and champion independent artists because we believe their stories and perspectives are essential to a thriving, informed, and connected society. We provide inclusive, safe, and nurturing spaces where artists can develop and share new work while building networks and community with one another. The courses and events are a source of revenue for Sundance Collab which prioritizes meaningful learning opportunities and the sustainability of the platform.
This full-time position may work remotely from within any of our operating states. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required at key points throughout the year. Travel to Institute offices and events may also be required on occasion.
Top priorities include but are not limited to
• Producing and designing a wide range of online educational courses, Master Classes and events with top filmmakers and industry leaders in the areas of writing, directing, producing, career and business strategies, and documentary.
• Sourcing and booking instructors, advisors, and other talent for online courses, Master Classes and events.
• Working with the Director, Collab Courses & Events to develop course and event outlines and content.
• Reviewing applications, managing the selection process, and evaluating scholarship requests for relevant courses.
• Overseeing all aspects of course creation and readiness, including instructor and advisor training.
• Ensuring that participants have the course materials they need to be successful.
• Ensuring that materials meet Sundance Collab requirements and offer a range of diverse content (clips, scripts, etc).
• Evaluating course surveys and sharing results with the team to recommend future improvements.
• Contributing to marketing newsletters and the Collab blog, as needed.
• Supporting the Filmmaker Toolkit and Grants & Opportunities, as needed.
• Supporting Advisor-in-Residence program, as needed.
• Collaborating with the Director, Collab Courses & Events to develop scaling solutions with a goal of growing online courses and events beyond their current format.
• Collaborating with the Director, Collab Courses & Events to develop strategies to engage course and event participants in the larger community.
• Actively communicating with the full team effectively to enable marketing and document changes and tasks in workflow documents.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 4 years experience curating, designing, and producing online educational courses, or related.
• Experience moderating / facilitating live, online experiences.
• Knowledge of filmmaking and independent storytelling.
• Exceptional project management, partnership and collaboration skills.
• Strong communication and excellent writing skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
You will be successful in this role if you...
• Successfully produce approximately 40 online courses, Master Classes and events per year.
• Contribute to Collabs equity, inclusion, and belonging goals by recruiting diverse instructors, advisors, presenters and panelists while developing our database.

*Final rate of pay is determined based on the applicant's geographic location, relevant experience and skills, and internal equity among similar positions within our organization.
