Summary of Position

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining systems configurations in the corporate and broadcast on-premise infrastructure and AWS Cloud environments. The incumbent in this position will assist in supporting monitoring and maintaining service levels by providing customer second level support. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing capacity planning information, managing systems and infrastructure security and supporting the day-to-day activities of the corporate network. The Senior Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership and mentoring of other Systems Engineers. This position will work closely and cooperatively with other Systems and Broadcast Engineers in their duties.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for configuration, monitoring, and management of Linux systems and infrastructure.

• Responsible for architecture, capacity planning, monitoring and management.

• Responsible for system and infrastructure security.

• Planning, configuration, and management of Ansible Automation Platform environment.

• Planning and configuring systems and services in AWS cloud environment.

• Research and provide guidance for long-term planning and infrastructure improvements.

• Monitor resources, utilization, and provide trend analysis.

• Develop strong intra and inter-department working relationships.

• Develop procedures and policies for operation.

• Create and maintain documentation of infrastructure.

• Strong judgment and problem analysis techniques.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.

• Self starter, strong organizational skills and proficient in establishing priorities.

• Occasional evening maintenance, weekend and on-call work required.

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; Minimum 5 years systems experience in mid-size enterprise environment; experience in client/server computing environments; experience in virtualized environments.

• Experience with system configuration and tuning in a media/broadcast environment preferred.

• Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting Ubuntu, RedHat, Rocky and Oracle Linux in a heterogeneous (predominately Windows) environment.

• in-depth knowledge of Logical Volume Manager (LVM), sssd, wInbindd and samba

• Knowledge of configuration, management, and troubleshooting Ansible. Ability to create automation playbooks and templates.

• Experience developing and implementing security on Linux systems.

• Experience with syslog configuration and troubleshooting.

• Experience installing and maintaining/updating software packages on Linux systems.

• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory/LDAP, DNS, DHCP a plus.

• AWS Associate or Professional Level certification a plus.

Compensation

$95,400 - $149,300
