Job Description
Summary of PositionAs a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of test plans and automation for new and existing software systems and applications.
Responsibilities
• Define testing strategy and approach for validating new or enhanced functionality
• Determine test dependencies including QA test environment, QA tools, build and deployment plans, intra-team dependencies
• Execute smoke, functional, integration, test scripts as part of product delivery lifecycle. This involves both Manual and automation testing.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered Automation frameworks
• Communicate with developers and end users to ensure that test cases are accurate, comprehensive, and documented correctly
• Build and maintain automated and reusable test frameworks for both frontend and backend.
• Review and write test automation code for both front end and back end.
• Develop and execute manual test cases to detect issues that cannot be detected through automation.
Qualifications & Skills
• 5 years of Overall testing experience
• At least 3 years' experience of test automation tools such as Cypress, RestSharp, Selenium, Postman or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience of coding (Javascript, Typescript and/or C# preferred)
• Ability to create testing scenarios, write test cases, develop automated test cases and debug existing code
• Test development experience with MS Test, Nunit, scripting or similar tools
• Strong knowledge of web standards such as HTML, CSS, XPath.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, xml, and json data structures
• Practical knowledge of SQL scripting and stored procedures
• Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment
• Ability to apply agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience collaborating in reviews of work with others as appropriate
• Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Passion for learning, quality, and engineering excellence with proven track record for delivering quality software on-time
• Experience with Agile development environments, specifically Scrum and Kanban
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, and Zephyr preferred
• Media and Entertainment experience preferred
Compensation
$95,000 - $110,000
