Job Description
Summary of Position

The Corporate and Brand Communications Director is responsible for the internal and strategic communications for STARZ. The role will be responsible for the management and development, production, and dissemination of communications materials to help ensure positive brand awareness with key constituents across Business, Trade/Industry, Political and Financial communities. Responsibilities require a heavy amount of writing and the need to easily adapt tone of writing for different audiences.

Strategic Communications
• Craft executive talking points for various speaking engagements with press, investors/analysts and industry members

• Write speeches / remarks for executives to be presented at a variety of different types of events

• Prepare talking points and meeting materials (decks and one-sheets) for meetings with key constituents for the STARZ across Business, Trade/Industry, Political, Financial communities

• Develop Communications plans that move the business forward with Business, Trade and Financial press

• Work with executives in drafting written materials highlighting key business initiatives or highlights

• Develop briefing documents for executives and prepare them for interviews and speaking engagements

• Cover and provide recaps of executive interviews and speaking engagements

• Provide input on Communications plans ensuring strong positioning for the business

Internal Communications
• Define the internal editorial strategy for employee communications, both written and digital, to increase awareness of the business, strengthen employee loyalty and engagement

• Craft the narrative around all HR programs and initiatives to maximize adoption of new tools, ideologies and methodologies critical to the future success of the business

• Create innovative communication vehicles to both inform and energize employees across all offices

• Develop communications metrics to gauge effectiveness and analyze actionable data

• Collaborate with HR, Facilities and Recruiting teams to develop a consistent ''voice'' across all

• employee experiences

• Partner with PR and Marketing to align and represent the STARZ brand and company values internally

• Oversee communications related to all internal employee events, including but not limited to celebratory launch parties and seasonal activities

• Define the voice, tone and visual identity of all STARZ internal programs as well as external facing recruitment initiatives

• Drive standardization of all internal collateral and templates to ensure accurate representation of STARZ branding

• Inspire and instill brand love across employee base leveraging Marketing/PR activation strategies whenever possible

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations or similar discipline is preferred

• Minimum seven years of experience with strong experience writing for business, financial, political audiences

• Comfortable presenting to groups of any size and level

• Strong computer skills including: Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required

• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

• Must excel in adapting writing in different tones for different audiences

• AP Style knowledge/familiarity

• The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

• Excellent organization, time and project management skills

• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work proactively in a fast paced, high volume, creative and deadline-oriented environment with the ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround

• Experience working with high-level executives and maintaining the utmost of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company

• MUST be detail-oriented

• MUST be able to operate independently
