Summary of Position

The Starz Brand Marketing team leads brand strategy and internal & consumer-facing initiatives that drive brand awareness and engagement across all Starz properties and platforms.

The Director, Brand Marketing will contribute to high impact, creative brand campaigns and ensure brand voice, look, and strategies are upheld across business initiatives. The role will work closely with cross functional teams to optimize strategies and partnerships to meet brand and business objectives.

• Act as a steward of the STARZ brand, reinforcing brand voice, tone, and guidelines to facilitate brand consistency throughout the organization
• Develop innovative & impactful marketing campaigns that effectively reach our target audience
• Work with executive and cross-functional teams to optimize brand efforts across STARZ campaigns and initiatives with an emphasis on brand strategy and consistency
• Manage quarterly and tentpole brand campaign strategies that drive brand awareness and subscriber growth, working closely with Marketing teams, Creative, Media, Research & Analytics, OTT, and Linear & non-linear partners to refine and improve efforts
• Translate brand strategies into campaign/project briefs that encourage and inform cross-functional collaboration
• Ensure brand and strategy alignment across brand deliverables: Video Promotions, Media Buys, Sizzle and Sales Reels, Digital Banners, OOH, Collateral/Premiums
• Manage strategy and execution of consumer brand activations, working closely with cross-functional teams to build experiences that engage core consumers (ex. Essence Fest, ComiCon, etc.)
• Drive consumer strategies and execution for brand initiatives in alignment with STARZ brand (ex. STARZ #TakeTheLead), looking for opportunities to amplify the STARZ brand via focused efforts
• Work closely with content marketing teams to align on opportunities that amplify brand throughout series campaigns
• Understand and decipher campaign results to optimize campaigns and equity post launch
• Work closely with Marketing & Creative Operations to manage production of creative assets as needed

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or similar discipline preferred
• 6+ years of brand/marketing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years experience at the Manager/Assoc Director level with the strong ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Television/entertainment industry experience preferred within studio or agency setting
• Experience with Product and/or Brand from launch through implementation;
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience and understanding of agency process
• Partner with Human Resources and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to contribute to internal and industry initiatives
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to translate strategy/direction into execution
• Must be a team player, collaborative, proactive and flexible
• Ability to engage with and lead a diverse range of partners
• Passion for brand and branded entertainment
• Bilingual a plus
