Job Description
Spotify's Global Communications team supports the company's growth through strategic and authentic storytelling and compelling experiences that inspire internal and external audiences. We're seeking a dynamic Associate Director of Financial Communications to develop and implement an integrated strategy that engages investors, furthers understanding, raises Spotify's visibility, builds credibility, and drives enterprise value creation.

Your primary focus areas will be partnering with Investor Relations (IR), & Communications colleagues, and additional teams to develop, manage, and implement communications/media strategies for quarterly earnings, M&A announcements, and other key financial events, including analyst conferences, and investor days.

You will also provide essential communications support for Spotify's Chief Financial Officer and be involved in various other corporate activities across our music, podcasting, and audiobook lines. Above all, your work will help key partners - investors, media, artists, songwriters, podcasters, authors, consumers, and employees understand Spotify's mission, vision, and the opportunity we see in the future of audio and video.

What You'll Do
• Develop a compelling financial narrative that builds buzz and engages financial partners (e.g., sell- and buy-side analysts, shareholders, retail and ESG investors)
• Craft written materials for financial achievements, including talking points/FAQs, earnings scripts, press releases, blog posts, social media content, and other assets; contribute to the development of materials for annual reporting, investor meetings, and other disclosures.
• Further establish Spotify's CFO as a thoughtful commentator on Spotify's business, strategy, performance, and relevant trends; leverage Spotify's executive bench to contextualize and enhance our financial narrative and opportunity
• Develop and maintain relationships with key financial beat reporters; expand media outreach to include finance, M&A, and investment-focused reporters at business and trade outlets
• Leverage social media and high-impact speaking opportunities to amplify Spotify's financial narrative and build excitement about the Spotify story
• Partner with Equity & Impact to integrate non-financial metrics/reporting into Spotify's financial narrative and continue building our ESG story
• Contribute to the evolution of Spotify's financial communications practices
• Partner with our internal communications team to strengthen employee understanding of Spotify's financial narrative
• Provide ongoing education to the wider communications team and key internal partners on investor relations and financial communications standard processes
• Advise management on financial media perceptions of and feedback on company performance, strategy, and execution
• Translate and craft financial messaging for complex financial topics, financial data, and challenging situations
• Follow markets and key peers, track key external partners' comments, and provide summary and analysis to management
• Work closely with agency partners on financial communications
• Assist on critical issues, including crisis response

Who You Are
• An expert communicator with at least 8 years of experience – you have strong writing skills and the ability to synthesize and communicate information to different levels of partners
• Bachelor's degree
• A great listener and can write in someone else's voice (e.g., Spotify's Chief Financial Officer)
• Possess strong knowledge of and familiarity with key financial partners, including the financial analyst and institutional investor communities
• Experienced in working on financial communications initiatives, including corporate earnings and major M&A announcements
• Prior success leading both internal and external communication initiatives
• Able to navigate complexity and ambiguity and get stuff done
