Job Description
We are looking for a passionate live event producer / production manager that will join our Global Experiential and Content Production org and collaborate with Artists, Comms, Content, Brand, and Advertising teams to execute all creative and production needs for Spotify activations. The live production expert and producer we seek will build off platform experiences that connect artists, creators, and/or brands with their fans globally, while also bringing Spotify to life on the live stage and/or through activations.
You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop creative executions that amplify our platform and bring it to life in a physical way. You'll build scalable solutions to maximize the success of these events and drive business. You will be responsible for building creative strategies that will align with the overall business goals to showcase Spotify solutions for business and marketing partners. You will establish and socialize processes to iterate and improve on what we deliver today. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences audio.
What You'll Do
• Produce live extensions (concerts, performances, events, installations) for Spotify, artist, and/or brand partners for audiences of fans, industry, press
• Directly lead the planning, production, and execution of our live events, with specific attention to the objectives of each initiative
• Drive multiple projects simultaneously while keeping each on track through each stage of production
• Build and manage production budgets and oversee event timelines, vendor relationships, approvals
• Build, manage and execute the production and show schedules for each live event
• Work with internal and external teams to manage and oversee execution on site
• Be the experiential arm of the team with on-site execution and logistics
• Have the knowledge of the best in class stage production (lighting, audio, production design vendors and personnel we can tap into for execution, choosing the best suited for each initiative)
• Have a creative point of view on projects / productions assigned, while providing insights to great design, innovations, fresh concepts, and interesting production partners
• Manage the production and creative elements for activation
• Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to transition the concept to reality
• Develop and manage creative timelines and budgets, while managing creative traffic between departments
• Deliver creative elements on time and within budget
• Oversee content capture at live events including video and photography and work with editing team to finalize deliverables
• Work with xfn partners to create digital content needs from start to finish
• Directly manage a small team of freelance producers, potentially across multiple markets and areas of domain expertise
• Drive specialized global business marketing experiences, managing cross-regional teams and evangelizing new initiatives with key influencers internally and externally
• Set expectations for what success looks like (responsible for quality control of team's event production output)
• Set the vision for partners and vendors that can drive innovation in our approach
• Coach team members to manage day-to-day vendor relationships
• Mentor more junior members of the team, helping them understand the production process, with detailed training on the ways of working you have developed with XFN partners
Who You Are
• Strategic thinker who understands the team's needs and develops experiences to address business challenges
• You are experienced with 10+ years of event, content, and show production experience
• You have a deep understanding of translating brand needs into experiential activations and care about bringing things to life with a visual point of view
• Your attention to detail and ability to multitask is core to who you are
• Superior communication skills
• You have a deep understanding of the global live music landscape, including key players, production managers, production vendors, touring crews, and concert venues (traditional and non-traditional venues and locations)
• You have a clear understanding of how to build a proper production schedule and set labor calls
• You have creatively developed and produced live events on a small and large scale
• You lead by example, being an advocate and mentor for the team (and any potential reports) but understanding Spotify's goals
• You have production experience, including understanding of staging, lighting, and branding
• You have a strong understanding of artist needs and the artist booking process
• You have a global mindset and experience being flexible and working with vendors and team members across multiple offices and timezones
• You can lead vendors, freelancers, partners and other stakeholders as part of a large production and keep all elements in order and on track
• You can oversee a talent shoot from pre-production through post
• You have experience overseeing content production and have the creative visual eye to work with editors for final deliverables
• You come with a well-rounded rolodex of vendors & are able to negotiate best rates
• You are interested in learning new skills and growing in areas of opportunity
• The following proficiencies are a bonus:
• Bilingual in English and one of the following: Spanish, French, Japanese, or Portuguese
• The role requires significant travel (domestic and international)* approximately 35-50%
Where You'll Be
• This role is based in NYC
• We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
The United States base range for this position is $ 120,185-$171,693 , plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays.

Salary Details
Salary Range: $92,450 to $132,072 Per Year ($ USD)
