Who are we hiring?
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for Financial Planning and Analysis functions supporting Venue Operations with a focus on Building, Food, Beverage, Merchandise and Parking for events. This includes assisting with the annual budget, monthly forecasts as well as month-end reporting and analysis. This role will work closely and support the operations teams for each respective area to ensure all material variances are known and reported on monthly management reporting packages.
What will you do?
• Assist with creation and ongoing tracking of annual budgets and monthly forecasts for Building Event, Operating, and Capital expenses collaborating with all Venue Operations departments and leaders.
• Prepare Food, Beverage & Merchandise post-event flash reports, product, quantity, sales & ad hoc analyses, as well as year to date weekly actual vs budget revenue reporting. Work with Venue Departments to collaborate with P&L teams on achieving labor, cost of goods, and revenue balance.
• Support venue teams' labor tracking and future planning by analyzing department staffing levels and ensuring hourly staff is allocated appropriately in accordance with event and/or maintenance budgets.
• Support monthly tracking and ad hoc analysis for Parking revenue and expenses by event including compiling data from multiple internal and external sources and providing reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate monthly financial results. Assist with monthly accruals and investigate variances versus Budget
• Prepare event estimates for internal special events and support other event budget creation requests as necessary.
• Utilize financial planning software as necessary to support information requests
• Assist Director and Manager Finance where needed with other departments including, Venue Operations (non-events), Office Services and Development/Construction
What do you need to s/ucceed?
• Minimum of 3+ years of Accounting or Financial Planning and Analysis experience or similar role
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance/Accounting or related field
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines
• Prior knowledge of facilities finance or financial accounting a plus, including union/part time labor, food and beverage
• Ability to perform detailed comparative financial analysis and present summary findings to Executive Management in a logical and concise manner
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required
• Strong technical skills with financial software including Oracle EPBCS/Smartview and Coupa applications are preferred, but not necessary
Pay Range
$75,000 - $100,000 USD
