Who are we hiring?
The Show Systems Technology team identifies , invents, and applies new and emerging technologies to create platforms to enrich immersive experiences. As a Robotics Engineer you will play a pivotal role in managing, developing, and maintaining software, hardware, internal teams, external teams and processes crucial for our advanced robotic systems. You will contribute your expertise in software engineering , hardware engineering and process management to integrate, deploy, and support sophisticated robotics technologies. You will create and contribute documentation and training guides for new technology created by the internal team and vendors. You will oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control policies based on software and hardware deployments. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation and advancement of our robotics program, collaborating with various teams to bring our visionary robotics projects to life.
What will you do?
• Contribute expertise in robotics, AI software development, electro-mechanical engineering, audio engineering and video engineering to ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external teams on maintaining and developing new robot software and hardware.
• Train in all robotics firmware, software and hardware for ongoing AI software development, hardware maintenance, systems optimization, QA and troubleshooting.
• Be responsible for keeping software operational for ongoing autonomous AI development, robotics demos and venue support.
• Contribute to hardware specifications, assembly, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting. Maintain Robot workshop equipment and inventory.
• Collaborate and/or manage cross -functional teams, including
other engineers , AI specialists, and project managers, to integrate software with robotic systems and ensure a unified operational framework.
• Contribute to product and project management solutions with vendors and internal teams .
• Engage with external partners and internal teams to foster strategic technology partnerships and integrate cutting-edge solutions into our robotics platform.
• Directly m aintain critical development systems at the robotics workshop in Burbank.
• Help deploy upgrades and provide critical systems maintenance at Sphere in Vegas both remotely and onsite.
• Travel to sphere to assist with new software and hardware deployments and troubleshooting, as needed.
What do you need to succeed?
• Bachelor's degree in relevant technology field
• 7 + years' experience
• Fluency in Python, Networking and Machine l earning programming
• Experience developing strategic plans and partnerships to create technical solutions to long term business needs
• Portfolio of relevant projects
• T rack record
of collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Knowledge of robotics, audio systems, show control, display technologies, lighting, rigging, automation
• Strong grasp of relevant underlying physics and engineering principals
• Experience defining scopes and deliverables for vendors and tracking vendors and internal team progress
• Strong desire to work with and identify novel ways to deploy emerging technologies
Special Requirements (physical demands, non-traditional hours, travel etc.)
• 1 5 % travel to Las Vegas. Expected to be on site at Sphere during major deployments.
Location: Burbank, CA
Pay Range
$125,000 - $165,000 USD
