Job Description
The Financial Analyst will manage all financial analysis and reporting associated with Sony Music's Physical Business, Capital and Other Projects as well as support the US Travel and Procurement area. The analyst will act as a point person and overall coordinator with the US Labels, Global Finance and Tech and International Affiliates in collecting, understanding and analyzing required information related to these areas and provide analytical support to the US Travel and Procurement to support negotiations and identifying cost savings opportunities. The Financial Analyst will report directly to the VP of Travel & Procurement.

What you'll do:
• Projects
• Build, Maintain and analyze Cost/Benefit Models related to Capital and Other Projects led by the Internal Project Management Group (GBO).
• Track spending against projects and analyze reasons for variances.
• Track benefit achievement and analyze reasons for variances.
• Conduct recurring meeting with Program Leadership to address variances and alter cost/benefits as needed.
• Physical Business
• Maintain Physical Business P&Ls by individual affiliates and on a consolidated basis.
• Assist in developing recommendations for service model change and/or increased profitability plan for each affiliate.
• Interact with multiple business units and international affiliates for missing information, understanding their submissions, and providing direction.
• Compare various licensing and other alternative service model deals, reporting on profitability and maintain associated database,
• Track trends in the vinyl business and evaluate sourcing alternatives.
• Travel and Procurement
• Prepare financial analysis of travel and procurement deal proposals, compare to benchmarks, and evaluate opportunities to improve upon them.
• Identify cost saving opportunities within spend categories.
• Routinely update routinely the diverse owned vendor spend by business unit
• Ad hoc analysis as needed.

Who you are:
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant operational/finance experience.
• Bachelor or Master Degree; in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Strong analytical skills as well as detail-oriented, organized, timely and accurate.
• Master sophisticated financial models
• Strong proficiency in computer software applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel (pivot tables & macros), Outlook)
• Ability to work with power BI tools and pulling data from various ERP tools is a must
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Background in consumer goods preferred but not required.
• Experience working with International colleagues.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Strong soft skills a must.
• Solid presentation skills.
• Flexible attitude and willing to take on various projects
