Job Description

As Senior Director, FP&A, your team will play a critical part in informing the senior executive management team's strategic direction by providing the financial outlook of the global business and supporting analyses to explain underlying business dynamics. In addition to working with the team to create and review the consolidated budget, forecasts, financial models and related analyses, your role will be responsible for developing analysis capabilities that the Global FP&A organization can leverage to support Sony Music's business units. This opportunity will allow you to inform global strategy and directly contribute to the modernization of the FP&A function.

What you'll do:
• Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders including global digital & label finance teams to effectively facilitate global planning processes, support global business units and senior management, and encourage innovation and evolution of the global FP&A organization
• Manage and lead a growing staff of finance professionals with accountability for all day-to-day corporate financial functions, including coordination and consolidation of global monthly actuals & forecast, variance analysis and commentary for senior management and external auditors, maintenance of management chart of accounts & entity hierarchy, and annual business planning
• Work with senior management to develop three-year strategic mid-range plan to capture market share, expand service offerings, and drive revenue & profitability
• Define and reinforce the global management reporting requirements for monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses of business financial performance, including project and product level performance as well as standard monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting & analysis
• Provide thought leadership, coordination & support for Finance Transformation and other infrastructure improvement initiatives in order to identify process improvement opportunities and assist with development and implementation of dynamic solutions
• Lead the development and ongoing evolution of the Corporate Group's data analysis capabilities, including input on design of data architecture, next generation reports, dashboards, analyses, processes and methodologies for assessing performance
• Establish core business KPIs and develop suite of analyses that senior management and business units worldwide can leverage to assess business health, energize critical initiatives, and make strategic decisions
• Serve as Sony Music liaison to Sony headquarters in Tokyo to ensure that Sony Corporate senior management understands business performance, forecasts, business plans, investments, and initiatives

Who you are:
• At least 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role with concentration in strategic business support with 3 years' experience managing a team; prior FP&A experience a plus
• Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
• Demonstrated ability to combine disparate data sets to analyze complex business problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to be persuasive and influence in a dynamic environment; effectively partner and interact with all levels, including senior management
• Self-starting, resourceful collaborator with a strong work ethic and ability to manage fluctuating priorities and deliverables on tight deadlines
• Detail oriented and strong follow-through skills
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft suite; focus on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Excellent SQL skills and experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
• Knowledge of the music, media or entertainment industry preferred
