Manager, Content Protection (Data Analytics)

Sony Music Entertainment (SME) is now looking for a highly motivated Manager to join the Content Protection team. This position will play a vital role in SME's efforts to combat intellectual property theft and provide a unique opportunity to work on substantive intellectual property and content protection related matters. Our ideal candidate will have experience in data analytics and software development, an interest in working at the intersection of music, technology, and copyright law.

What you'll do:
• Oversee development and execution of global Intellectual Property (IP) enforcement programs
• Gather and communicate business requirements to Business Analysts and Software Development teams, and assist in the deployment of enterprise-level software applications
• Assist department with market research and data analysis
• Evaluate and identify data signals to incorporate into machine learning and pattern recognition models
• Evaluate efficacy of third-party technologies including automated content recognition (ACR) solutions
• Evaluate and maintain relationships with Content Protection service providers
• Prepare reports for executive leadership teams that communicate trends and efficacy of enforcement initiatives

Who you are:
• Must possess B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science or closely related field from an accredited institution
• Minimum 3-5 years of direct or equivalent experience working in Software Development, Data Analytics or related fields
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming (e.g., Python, Java, Swift, Go)
• Strong desire to work with emerging technologies
