Essential Worship exists as an online tool for worship leaders, musicians and church members to discover new songs for church worship. Essential Worship (EW) was born from the passion to serve the church with a versatile offering of tools and resources that make it as easy as possible to discover and adopt new songs into worship.

As Director of Essential Worship, you will develop a deep understanding of the brand and the landscape of music and lean into the marketing strategies that lead the business into future growth. This role provides strategic input into overall direction for online worship community and church resourcing initiatives and communicates the overall EW strategy to the greater Provident Entertainment team. This position is based in the Franklin, TN office but may have the opportunity to travel to worship leader conferences and events.
What You'll Do:
• Lead and manage performance of a small team while providing guidance, training and developing skills to exceed expectations
• Maintain existing and develop new relationships with churches, writers and management for the Essential Worship brand
• Direct strategic use of EW budget and monitor brand spending
• Provide input on song selection for worship projects and A&R initiatives
• Develop and lead overall marketing strategy to support Essential Worship copyrights in conjunction with Brand Manager, Marketing Manager and Team Specialist
• Seek and develop new strategic partnerships in the church market space as well as maintain partnerships such as Christian Copyright Licensing International (''CCLI''), Praise Charts, MultiTracks, Loop Community and others
• Develop strategic song campaigns around streaming opportunities to maximize all potential revenue streams, including exploitation of existing masters, new EW owned/master content and overall awareness of EW brand
• Plan weekly EW newsletter and oversee the operation, content and updates of the EW website
• Direct and oversee commination with artist and managers regarding content strategy and needs
• Oversee dialog and implementation in optimizing creative strategies for site growth and relevancy in conjunction with EW team
• Manage dialog and implementation of event creative marketing tools to gain site traffic and brand awareness with EW team
Who You Are:
• An influential leader with prior experience marketing worship artists and/or bands while managing a team, delegating tasks, and maintaining knowledge of current trends
• A creative team leader with demonstrated marketing and branding experience, campaign oversight and team leadership experience, typically gained through 5 years of experience in a similar role (preferred - associate degree or bachelor's degree)
• A strategic thinker who is comfortable pulling together disparate pieces of information into a cohesive, connected whole storyline, develop goals around that information, and propel others toward those goals
• A growth-oriented professional able to exhibit a professional manner and maintain constructive working relationships with others, including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company
• A self-starter and resourceful thinker with a solid understanding of DSP/streaming/social media metrics and algorithms
• A business driver with an ability to direct and creatively lead the marketing process
