Creative Manager / Essential Music Publishing

Job Description

As a Creative Manager / Essential Music Publishing, you will play a key role in supporting our artists and writers in delivering music to their fans. Your role would use creative ideas to help implement strategy that will achieve business revenue goals and expand the discovery and consumption of songs in the Essential Music Publishing catalog. (https://essentialmusicpublishing.com/) as well as expanded awareness of the overall Essential Music Publishing brand. Position requires interaction with writers, members of senior management and other high-level internal and external contacts.

What you'll do:
• Develop and cultivate outstanding professional relationships with internal staff, artists, writers, and producers
• Seek new opportunities for pitching Essential Music Publishing catalog through various media channels and music genres, such as Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), Gospel, Hip-Hop, Worship, Film/TV, Country, and Pop
• Provide support to writers through song development, co-write scheduling, and playlisting
• Partner with internal teams in overseeing song detail and turn in process for song data and demo
• Serve alongside Creative Director as Provident Entertainment liaison with Sony Music Entertainment licensing division for all releases
• Manage and oversee Essential Music Publishing social and streaming accounts
• Create and maintain radio history database for publishing catalog and cut/recording list

Who you are:
• Have 3 years of experience in music publishing or related field working with music writers, producers, artists, and/or label staff
• Familiar with music & lyric structure and development in a variety of music genres, including Christian music and worship music markets
• Adaptable in learning new software and applications
• A thoughtful, organized and results-oriented professional
• An excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior management
• Able to prioritize work to meet deadlines
