Sr. Systems Engineer (Configuration Management)- REMOTE

Sinclair Broadcast Group seeks a motivated and experiences Sr. Systems Engineer, focusing on Configuration Management, to join the Corporate Information Technology Department. The individual will develop, integrate, and support key Enterprise infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Administer and Maintain of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM)
• Create and update user and device collections, applications and packages, task sequences (including Operating System Deployments), and configuration baselines
• Manage patch scheduling and deployment across the enterprise for Microsoft and third-party updates
• Provide quality technical documentation, including standard operating procedures, as SME, to other Systems Engineers and Administrators
• Mentor and train team members on effective management of enterprise configuration management tools
• Manage changes through defined Change Management/Enablement processes and procedures
• Drive efficiencies through process automation to optimize operations and ensure service uptimes
• Collaborate with other internal teams and third-party vendors to define best-in-class solutions
• Proactively monitor KPIs and address areas of improvement for enterprise configuration management

Experience, Skills & Competencies:
• 7+ years of experience in IT engineering
• 7+ years of experience owning and managing SCCM/MECM at an enterprise scale - including architecture, configuration, site system roles, workstation/server configuration baselines, application and package deployment, operating system deployment, and client management
• 7+ years of Windows Server and Linux operating systems
• Experience managing Microsoft Intune
• Experience managing WSUS
• Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server – Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and creating custom queries
• Experience with writing scripts and IT process automation – PowerShell, VB, Python, etc.
• Experience with Desired State Configuration
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Office 365 in a large scale and complex environment
• Experience working within an Agile/SAFe framework
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
• Strong presentation skills with deep experience in data usage both in excel and other dash-boarding platforms
• Advanced understanding and experience with monitoring tools
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to quickly grasp technical issues and offer solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
• Professional business demeanor
• Customer-focused attitude and desire to interface directly with end-user clients
• Industry certifications are a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Immediate authorization to work in the US
