Software Development Instructor

Job Description

Sinclair Digital has a new opportunity for an instructor that will assist in developing our training and education programs. This role will focus primarily on software development, which includes the tools, technologies and platforms that we use to build our world class news platform. The candidate should have excellent leadership and skills to motivate and inspire a greater interest in learning and career growth.

Essential job responsibilities:
• The ideal candidate would have a strong ability to teach through a structured training and coaching program, that takes our team to the next level of capabilities and performance.
• Provide onboarding for new team members, giving them a comprehensive overview of the entire digital org, and providing a detailed view into each functional group and how our teams are structured and interact.
• Strong awareness and understanding of the products we create and maintain as part of the software development life cycle.
• Provide access and guidance to locate the latest documentation on all Products and best practices.
• Describe our agile development process along with our engineering workflow which include CI/CD, IAC and our testing and deployment systems.

Job skills & requirements:
• Established teaching and coaching skills
• A practical knowledge of Enterprise Cloud, and many of the modern tools, technologies and platforms commonly used today.
• A BS in Computer science or equivalent, and experience in the field of training or teaching.
