STIRR is part of a growing industry of streaming platforms built on an array of on demand and linear programming. We offer a live and local experience with live news, events, and concerts from both the Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBG) portfolio and third-party content owners. STIRR is available across multiple platforms including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon FireTV, iOS, Android and desktop. With over 100 channels and 5000+ hours of on demand content, all eyes are on STIRR.

The Role

The Senior Designer works closely with the Editor in Chief to develop the look and feel of STIRR through graphic execution. He/she is an expansive thinker and innovative designer who understands that, for viewers to have fun consuming content, content creators must have fun making it. He/she is extremely collaborative, working with various departments to best present STIRR and STIRR content on and off platform. The Senior Designer is a problem solver obsessed with and inspired by good design.

This position requires a thorough understanding of the OTT video ecosystem, television and web design, and emerging digital technologies.

Responsibilities
• Works with the Editor in Chief and the STIRR team to develop way to ways to best present STIRR on and off platform

• Works closely with the Editor in Chief to further develop, define and document STIRR branding, and innovates new ways to present and promote within brand

• Produces digital, print, and animated graphics for on and off platform use including but not limited to: Frontpage Heroes/Teasers, Content Tiles, Thumbnails, Slates, Bumpers, Digital Banners, Decks, Presentations, GIFs, Photos, etc.

• Develops templates for the STIRR Creative and Marketing teams

• Works with Marketing and STIRR Creative Producers to manage and track requests

• Maintains file naming and file management throughout the production process

• Oversees the Junior Graphic Designer

• Produces and delivers all elements according to spec

• Develops innovative solutions for creative challenges

• Other duties as assigned

Key Requirements
• A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or Communications Arts

• 5+ years of experience designing for entertainment in the broadcast or digital space

• Extensive professional experience in Adobe Creative Suite

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of fast developing digital and OTT creative trends

• Experience in brand development and management

• A deep understanding of how to organize and manage multiple projects

• Extensive knowledge of web, UX/UI, and social deliverables, specs and best practices

• Can work across various media types, screens, formats and technologies

• Proficiency in MS Office

• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail

• Ability to work under deadline

• Precise communication skills

• Ability to be a self-starter and take initiative

• Open-minded attitude

• Working knowledge of production management systems a plus
