Job Description
Dielectric is hiring a CAD Designer for our RF Systems team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and a minimum of 2 years' experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Solid Edge, Inventor, or Creo) to create 3D models and 2D drawings. This position will work under the RF Engineering Director and receive direction or information cross-departmentally to define necessary components and complete the design process in accordance with the customer's specifications and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems while considering the limitations of manufacturing processes
• Generate 2D drawings and 3D models of parts and assemblies using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Perform engineering analysis on designs using finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools as needed
• Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure that the design intent is conveyed correctly during peer review
• Coordinate with project managers to understand the scope of work and deliverables required
• Adhere to industry standards and best practices when creating designs
• Stay up to date on advances in CAD software, mechanical engineering principles, and manufacturing processes
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status and findings to clients and upper management as needed
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Other duties as assigned
• This position reports to the Director of RF Systems Engineering and takes direction cross-departmentally as needed.

Required Experience:
• Associate's degree or certificate in CAD design, engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience with 3D modeling software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
• Working knowledge of drafting standards (ASME Y14.5M)
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles
• Knowledge of Oracle MRP a plus
• Demonstrated organizational & communication skills with attention to detail and understanding of quality criteria
• Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability
• Ability to work independently and with a team
