Job Description
Sinclair is seeking a dynamic, motivated leader to work effectively and cross-functionally to solve a wide range of business problems and collaborate with our partner team to implement new business models enabled by ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) 3.0 technology as the Solution Architect, Data Distributions as a Service (DDaaS), part of our Next Generation Wireless Platform. This role requires a leader who can guide the development, integration and continuous delivery of software and hardware needed to create end-to-end Data Distributions as a Service capabilities. You will be responsible for architecting technical designs that incorporate existing Sinclair and partner capabilities, direct the development and implementation of new technical elements and manage architecture roadmaps that enable new data-distribution business models including: Data Distribution as a Service, Spectrum Sharing as a Service, enhanced GPS, IOT, automotive solutions, and more. You will ensure the scalability and enterprise readiness of technical solutions, develop processes and requirements that enable multi-vendor continuous delivery of capabilities and maintain an end-to-end systems view that spans customer/partner/admin portals, cloud-based data orchestration, hybrid data delivery models (ATSC 3.0 and Internet Data Services), billing systems, information/network security and data analytics.

The Lead Technical Architect must possess in-depth expertise in software development languages and processes and be adept at guiding teams in a multi-vendor environment by assessing current state technical capabilities, developing detailed systems architecture requirements, establishing integration and development requirements to fill capability gaps and managing synchronized delivery of system capabilities to meet business needs. The Lead Technical Architect will work alongside other Sinclair business development mangers, architects, engineers and analysts as well as multiple vendor partners to develop the end-to-end Data Distributions as a Service commercial offering .

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop in-depth functional and technical understanding of current state Data Distributions as a Service architecture
• Develop in-depth functional and technical understanding of partner capabilities
• Analyze technical trade-offs, determine the primary components and subsystems, identify the interfaces and collaborations between them
• Evaluate technology solutions for quality, scalability, cost-effectiveness and fit with business requirements
• Define Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs)
• Manage partner development activities through industry standard Agile development frameworks and practices and document requirements
• Develop technical roadmap planning, working with stakeholders from across the company to craft and refine the product's direction and KPIs.
• Provide perspective and thought leadership to senior management and stakeholders to support decision making and alignment on priorities.
• Develop integration plans and requirements to enable system components to work together and provide required business capabilities
• Guide partner architects so they can enhance/modify their solutions to work in the larger NGWP environment.
• Provide recommendations to address potential threats to technical architecture
• Implement technical processes to deploy solutions and manage a unified multi-vendor DevOps environment to accelerate release cycles
• Deliver fully functional products in a timely manner for end users
• Create process for rapid development, intelligent personalization and seam less exploration across all solutions
• Provide business leadership for various proof of concepts designed to test technology solutions and economic viability

Requirements:
• 15+ years of pertinent experience - various backgrounds will be considered
• Commercial product development
• Cloud-based data orchestration systems
• Wireless networking technologies
• Broadcast air chain architecture and operations
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a high level of intellectual curiosity
• Ability to solve problems creatively
• Excellent communication skills with a demonstrable history of influencing organizations, working collaboratively, and building relationships with all levels of management
• Great interpersonal skills
• The ability to deliver high quality results under tight deadlines
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; MBA preferred
