We're seeking a forward-thinking Executive Director, Production Operations to lead our production operations team and help shape the future of Tennis Channel.
Our Executive Director, Production Operations leads and plans the production and technical management of studio and remote operations. This position provides the technical and production management expertise to the production operations group in executing the studio and remote assignments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assumes leadership role on high profile productions (e.g. Grand Slams, domestic events, and remi/at home production) for Tennis Channel.
• Oversees all aspects of physical production and logistics to executive live remote broadcasts and events including integration with remi-production.
• Manages and provides services as the production operations lead from pre-production planning through delivery (e.g. planning, pre-event paperwork, budgeting, on-site supervision).
• Negotiates pricing with external companies and third-party vendors and makes independent high-level decisions for production operations.
• Assists in the approval process for selection of vendors, transmissions facilities with Head of Production.
• Advises production team with necessary planning information and working with production accounting on maintaining budgets.
• Maintains a leadership role and relations in studio, on-site, and with third-party relationships.
• Collaborates with inter-departments to ensure delivery of high-quality production across all platforms.
• Clearly and concisely outlines issues (e.g. legal or liability) for review to VP, Production Operations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 10+ years' production and operations experience in broadcast television at network or major market experience
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams and high-pressure live environments
• Ability to lead and manage team effectively utilizing excellent communication skills
• Possess a positive and optimistic attitude that motivates the team to perform at their best
• Be able to set clear expectations, provide timely feedback and exhibit positive examples for the team
• Possesses knowledge, participation and experience incorporating new and evolving technologies related to operations into broadcast and post-production workflows
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of television infrastructure and technical equipment
• In-depth knowledge of financial implication of studio and remote operations
• Experience working with all levels of management and dealing with on-air talent
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Traveling between the US, Europe and Australia to attend as needed Grand Slams & tournaments; total travel time averages a minimum of 3 months (or 35-40%) per year

The base salary compensation range for this role is $140,000 to $150,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
