Director Of Engineering - Studio Design & Integration Manager

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with Broadcast Systems Architects to design creative & viable solutions, while working within operational scope & timeline constraints. Evaluate technologies and manage existing vendor relationships to align with Sinclair business objectives''
• Identify long-term & short-term infrastructure requirements for router I/O, rack space, power, etc.
• Lead a team of Design Engineers and Installers to implement projects from conceptual design to completion of installation
• Manage transition to operations support teams as systems are brought online
• Communication with Sinclair Regional Engineering Managers and News to insure the system design that meets the mission.
• Manage all systems documentation

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to create & manage high-performing integration teams that can consistently meet deadlines
• Knowledge of recognized documentation and installation procedures including cable and fiber optics relating to Computer Network, Video and Audio infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-motivated independent worker with a positive and professional attitude
• Strong written and verbal communications and reporting skills
• Television transmitter and microwave system experience is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years Systems Integration experience with HD television and production facilities

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multi-million dollar system integration projects, while meeting budgetary and timeline expectations
• Experience driving changes to active systems in a high reliability environment
• Knowledge of broadcast operations with a clear understanding of signal flow and the relationships between sub-systems
• Experience defining solutions related to Master Control, Editing systems, Network Infrastructure, and Control systems

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• This is a remote position - Yet travel to Sinclair Television Stations throughout the United States will be required.
